Impact/Purpose:

The overall goal of this task is to apply exposure and source apportionment tools (measurements and models) to support ongoing and planned health studies.

Description:

Associations are well established between particulate matter (PM) and increased human mortality and morbidity. The toxicity of PM may differ depending on the type of PM source, and health impacts may vary by location depending on the mix of PM sources impacting each location. The association between PM sources and health effects was evaluated in this study.
