CISZEWSKI, J. AND M. GONZALEZ. PROGRESS IN PROCESS INTENSIFICATION: SYNTHESIS OF IMIDAZOLE DERIVATIVES USING A SPINNING TUBE-IN-TUBE REACTOR. Presented at 232nd American Chemcial Society Fall 2006 National Meeting, San Francisco, CA, September 10 - 14, 2006.

Impact/Purpose:

To inform the public

Description:

The high purity, high throughput synthesis of a number of imidazole derivatives using a spinning tube-in-tube reactor (STT®, Kreido Laboratories, Camarillo California) has been carried out. The STT® reactor allows the high throughput production of high purity imidazole derivatives from a wide variety of starting materials, resulting in materials that may be used as ionic liquids or as ligands in organometallic chemistry.
