Impact/Purpose:

To assist decision-making by improving approaches to subsurface contaminant transport modeling based on evaluation of field observations and subsequent development of appropriate modeling approaches and tools.

Description:

This presentation describes the role of models in environmental decision making. An outline of the presentation is the role of models in decision support; the modeling process, past and current; assumptions and limitations; and examples of models.
