R2 PCS PERMITS GIS LAYER
Description:
The Region 2 PCS Permit Regulated Facility GIS layer contains identification (name, address, ID), and location (latitude, longitude, and locational metadata), attributes of facilities with National Polution Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) permit(s) in Region 2 that are regulated by the U. S. EPA. A joined table of permit parameters extends this layer's attributes. Multiple Program System Permits can be issued to a regulated facility. This GIS layer has one record for each unique Program System (Permit) ID, but where there are multiple Program System ID's associated with a facility, each record in this layer will share the same coordinates for that facility. The source for this GIS layer's identification data is the Facility Registry System (FRS) of Envirofacts and the Envirofacts module of the The Permit and Compliance System (PCS) which are maintained by the US EPA. The source for the locational data for this and all R2 Regulated Facility Layers is the Locational Reference Tables (LRT), of Envirofacts augmented by R2 Locational Data Improvement records that may not yet have been cycled into the LRT. The Permit and Compliance System (PCS) contains data on the National Polution Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) permit-holding facilities. PCS contains information on the permitted facility, compliance schedule, outfall schedule, permit limits, discharge monitoring reports, enforcement actions and violations.
