Description:
The National Risk Management research Laboratory (NRMRL) has performed or funded limited in-house and extramural research on the disinfection of CCL listed organisms using ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. In addition, multiple extramural efforts have been funded to assess operational aspects of UV disinfection treatment technologies. Operational topics include reactor validation, quartz sleeve fouling and comparison of different sources of UV light (low pressure vs. medium pressure vs. pulsed). This presentation summarizes research efforts either funded by NRMRL-Cincinnati or performed internally by NRMRL researchers.
