IRON REMOVAL PROCESSES: FULL SCALE EXPERIENCE

Impact/Purpose:

To inform the public

Description:

The recently promulgated Arsenic Rule will require that many new drinking water systems treat their water to remove arsenic. Many groundwaters that have arsenic in their source water also have iron in their water. As a result, arsenic treatment at these sites will most likely be accomplished by installing iron removal treatment or optimizing current iron removal treatment practices. This talk illustrates the application of full-scale iron removal plants for achieving arsenic removal.
