Description:

A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the separation and quantitation of a mixture consisting of nitrobenzene, dinitrobenzene isomers, 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene and their reduction products: aniline, nitroanilines and phenylenediamines has been developed. The method is sensitive and highly reproducible. The mixture is resolved on a Zorbax C8 column with 0.1% triethylamine and methanol as the mobile phase. The detection limits for individual chemicals at 254 nm are in the range of 25-50 ng.
