RICHARD, A. M. AND M. WOLF. TOXICO-CHEMOINFORMATICS: EMERGING CAPABILITIES FOR IMPROVED PUBLIC DATA ACCESS AND EXPLORATION. Presented at International Conference on Environmental Mutagens (ICEM) , San Francisco, CA, September 03 - 08, 2005.
Impact/Purpose:
The Distributed Structure-Searchable Toxicity (DSSTox) database project is promoting use of standards for chemical toxicity databases; coordinating with other public efforts to encourage chemical structure annotation, standards, and public access to toxicity databases; and enhancing the ability to integrate and explore chemical toxicity data from a chemoinformatic, or structural perspective to improve capabilities in predictive toxicology. DSSTox is expanding published database offerings in diverse areas of toxicology and increasing linkages to other types of biological data (e.g. ‘omics data).
Description:
DSSTox database project is promoting use of standards for chemical toxicity databases.
