Description:
This study, conducted in March-September 1994, established baseline information on consumer uses of food labels in order to provide an understanding of label use in the broader context of dietary management. It also provided information necessary to evaluate the impact of the new food labels mandated under the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act of 1990.
