Description:
The exhibit is a 10'x10' skyline truss which will be used to highlight the activities of the U.S.-German Bilateral Working Group in the area of brownfields revitalization. The exhibit will also highlight other brownfield-related research occurring in other ORD organizations. For example, Jim Weaver of NERL-Athens will demonstrate On-line Calculators for assessing contamination at leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites, discuss the evaluation of environmental properties of illegal drug lab chemicals, and present a model evaluation guide developed to help improve decision making by state agencies. Brian Schumacher of NERL-Las Vegas will present research on vapor intrusion monitoring for brownfield sites. Eric Jorgensen of NRMRL-Ada will present research on integrating ecological values into brownfield redevelopment and restoration. Felicia Barnett, Region 4 HSTL, will present information related to brownfield efforts in the Regions.
