This book chapter strives to summarize the body of literature exploring the toxic interaction of organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides in mixtures. This review represents one of the only reviews of the subject that has been published within the last 20 years. Specifically, this review (1) addresses issues of experiment design of mixture studies; (2) summarizes the available literature on organophosphorus pesticide mixtures, carbamate pesticide mixtures, and mixtures of organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides; and (3) addresses future research priorities for studies of mixtures of these pesticides.
