Description:

In the EPA sponsored AML workshop, a number of Mine Waste Technology Program (MWTP) projects will be presented in order to highlight the most successful technology demonstrations. Recent results, lesson learned and future opportunities will be presented. The MWTP projects include acid mine drainage/water treatment, sustainability, source control, pit lakes, modeling heap detoxification/closure, and Montana Tech. cope/reporting. Increased mining industry and state participation is a future goal along with getting more involved with support to Superfund Mega-mining sites.
