Description:

The report provides guidance and a readily available reference to groups involved with the Florida Radon Research Program's (FRRP's) research house studies. t includes: 1): Lists of Parameters for continuous and periodic high and low resolution measurements; (2) Protocols for characterization and specialty measurements; (3) Data storage variable assignments so that researchers can have access to tandardized data set; and (4) An example of an approved Quality Assurance Project Plan. ndividual research plans linked to the various FRRP objectives and committees were developed to ensure that the research goals would be met. lthough various types of radon research have been conducted in houses in many areas of the country, there had not been a coordinated approach to studying these houses with the objective of developing construction codes and standards. oils, construction styles, and techniques in Florida are somewhat different from those in the areas where most of the research data originated. he FRRP put in place a research strategy where most of the factors that influence the transport and entry of radon into these houses would be studied. he research house component of the program would utilize four to six unoccupied houses in three locales to study the radon entry effects indifferent types of construction, soil conditions, and climate of Florida.
