Description:

The following details a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Tulsa District) research project to determine potential release of asbestos during removal of vinyl floor tiles (VAT) and mastic adhesive, both containing asbestos. Tests were conducted in seven enclosed test areas constructed at Fort Sill. The observations presented were obtained by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) at the U.S. EPA's Risk Reduction Engineering Laboratory, employing a modified AHERA analytical protocol.
