Impact/Purpose:

information

Description:

The report is a user's manual for version 1.0 of the Multiple Projections Systems (MPS), a computer system that can perform "what if" scenario analysis and report the final results (i.e., Rate of Further Progress - ROP - inventories) to EPA (i.e., the Aerometric Information Retrieval System - AIRS). The MPS is based on a 3% Reasonable Further Progress - RFP - tracking system that was developed in FY 92/93. The 3% tracking system is a Windows application, and enhancements to convert it to a MPS will continue to be within the frame work of a Windows application. The system will support ROP inventories for ozone and carbon monoxide (CO) and this will contain volatile organic compound, nitrogen oxides, and CO data. The most significant change from the original 3% tracking system to the MPS is the ability to submit a "final" projection emissions inventory in the format required by the AIRS Facility Subsystem and the AIRS Area and Mobile Subsystem.
