Sarasota Bay 2000: A Decade of Progress is produced by the Sarasota Bay National Estuary Program for the people of Manatee and Sarasota counties. This document presents information on the current condition of Sarasota Bay and the progress made in implementing the Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan signed by the Governor of Florida and the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1995. The achievements in implementing the plan have been substantial with reductions in pollution and increases in habitats and recreational opportunities.
