Description:

The Santa Monica Bay Restoration Project Implementation Review (IR) summarizes the progress and challenges ahead for the Project through examination of it activities in relation to the CCMP. Contents of the IR include: implementation progress with a financing for plan implementation, strengthening the SMBRP's ability to implement the goals of the bay restoration plan, components of the Bay Restoration Plan, Stormwater urban runoff and non-point source pollution reductions, restoration of natural resources and habitats, public education, and watershed planning; the role of stakeholder contributions; changes in priorities; environmental results which contains, an assessment of the Compliance Monitoring System in Santa Monica Bay, new watershed monitoring initiatives/activities, implementation of a new Storm Water Monitoring Program, nearshore habitat mapping, and implementation barriers; environmental results and trends; the status of implementation tracking systems; and finance strategies/leveraging of funds.
