Morro Bay National Estuary Program. MORRO BAY NATIONAL ESTUARY PROGRAM, FIRST IR 2002. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, D.C.

Description:

The Morro Bay National Estuary Program is a "Tier V program and is, therefore, required to submit a "full review" of its CCMP implementation progress and overall status of the program in 2002. The MBNEP1s Local Policy Committee completed and approved the CCMP in mid-2001; the CCMP was approved by Governor Gray Davis in October 2001, and by then-EPA Administrator Carol Browner in January 2002. Initial work on CCMP implementation preceded formal adoption of the plan. Therefore, the period covered by this review begins in July 2000 and runs to December 2001. As of December 31,2001,48 of the 61 action plans had been initiated. Of these were 28 of the 31 'priority" action plans. This report is divided into three parts, "Repairing the Watershed," 'Enhancing the Bay," and 'Education and Outreach." The report is in tabular format, by project title showing Action Plans the project implements, implementers, and status.
