The IPCC is divided into three Working Groups. Working Group I assesses the scientific aspects of the climate system and climate change. Working Group II assesses the vulnerability to climate change of, and the negative and positive impacts for, ecological systems, socio-economic sectors and human health. Working Group III assesses the mitigation of climate change, and through a task group will assess cross-cutting issues (e.g., equity, discount rates, and decision-making frameworks).
