Description:

Tissue body weight relaltionships, total lipid, and major lipid subclasses were measured in 20 adult hatchery lake trout to obtain a more in-depth understanding of the major lipid compartments of the "lean" lake trout for use in modeling the disposition of xenobiotics. It is suggested that the data from this study on tissue lipid and tissue body weight relationships could be used to predict organ or tissue size and muscle lipid content of both hatchery and field-sampled lake trout. This information would be important to those modeling contaminant content or disposition or to those assessing the lipid dynamics of the lake trout.
