NAMBOODIRI**, V. V., R. PONANGI, AND L. M. VANE*. A NOVEL HYDROPHILIC POLYMER MEMBRANE FOR THE DEHYDRATION OF ORGANIC SOLVENTS. European Polymer Journal. Elsevier BV, AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, 42(12):3390-3393, (2006).

Description:

Novel hydrophilic polymer membranes based on polyallylamine ydrochloride- polyvinylalcohol are developed. The high selectivity and flux characteristics of these membranes for the dehydration of organic solvents are evaluated using pervaporation technology and are found to be very promising when compared to existing membranes.
