Description:
Careers in chemistry and chemistry related fields can be very rewarding and enriching. Being an environmental chemist for a government agency requires a broad background in the field of chemistry. A knowledge of the operation of several analytical and preparatory instruments is often required. The ability to work with large databases is important as is a through understanding of QA/QC techniques. An internship is often a good way to get your foot in the door! This discussion will touch on some of the skills that are important for chemists working for the Environmental Protection Agency.
