Description:
The report gives results of a literature survey of current Western European and Japanese water pollution control technology in the iron and steel industry. Further information was obtained through personal communication. Recycle technology was identified as being practiced to a high degree by the Japanese. A variable recycle rate was found to be practiced at British and Western European steel plants. Summaries of typical pollution control operations are described and comparative data are provided.
