Description:

The Puget Sound Atlas data layers include information about seabird nesting areas, eelgrass and kelp habitat, marine mammal and fish areas, and shellfish resources and bed certification. This data has been received from the Puget Sound Water Quality Authority as is and is provided here for public convenience of access only. The data was converted by the PSWQA from the Puget Sound Atlas and were provided to us in ArcInfo export file format. WE HAVE NO META DATA AVAILABLE for these layers at the present (details of source, attributes, and quality). Contact the PSWQA directly for any information about the data. Note that these data files are compressed (.zip) with a zip utility that is MSDOS PKZIP compatible. The export files have been re-processed with the NONE (no ArcInfo compression) option so they are ASCII text readable and may be used by a variety of mapping/GIS programs (re-processed 7/3/97). PC users (MSDOS), use standard PKUNZIP or WINZIP commands. Unix users, use unzip -a filename.e00.zip or gunzip -S .zip filename.e00.zip.
