Description:

This document reviews available pharmacokinetic data and models for toluene and applies these data and models to existing health-based exposure guidance values from the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, Health Canada, and the World Health Organization, to estimate corresponding BE values for toluene in blood.

Purpose/Objective:

These values can be used as screening tools for evaluation of biomonitoring data for toluene in the context of existing risk assessments for toluene and for prioritization of the potential need for additional risk assessment efforts for toluene.
