Tennessee School Lab Chemical Cleanout Campaign
The primary goals of the TN progam are to remove potentially dangerous chemicals from schools, while educating teachers and students about proper chemical management, lab safety, greener teaching options, and chemical waste disposal. This is a two-year program, funded largely by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

South Carolina Schools Efficiency Grant Initiative
To improve on the quality of the learning environment and to make schools more energy efficient, thereby saving money for other programs, the SCEO developed the Schools Lighting Grant Initiative. With lighting retrofits being the easiest and least expensive first step to energy efficiency, the SCEO encourages schools to give priority consideration to lighting upgrades for their facilities.
