Water Laboratory Alliance (WLA)
The WLA provides the drinking water sector with an integrated nationwide network of laboratories with the analytical capability and capacity to respond to intentional and unintentional drinking water contamination events involving chemical, biological, and radiochemical contaminants. For questions regarding the WLA, please email: WLA@epa.gov.
Formal membership for the Water Laboratory Alliance (WLA) will be opened in conjunction with the second phase launch of EPA's Environmental Response Laboratory Network (ERLN) during Fall 2009. Meanwhile to learn about plans for inter-laboratory coordination, please contact your EPA Regional Laboratory Director listed in the "Contact Information" section.
In support of the launch and in collaboration with its partners in the Water Sector, the WLA is planning a Security Summit (WLA Security
Summit) for October 22-23, 2009 in Philadelphia. For more information please visit the WLA Security Summit
registration page.
As a result of stakeholder interest, the WLA has consolidated itself within the Integrated Consortium of Laboratory Networks (ICLN).
The following links provide more detail about what the WLA is, how the WLA functions, and current projects that the WLA is supporting. There are also links to other Web sites that are closely related to the WLA.
