Crisis and Media Communications

Overview

Strategic crisis and media communication is more important than ever before. Today's water utilities not only face the age-old operational threats to their service caused by power outages, main breaks, floods and more, but now additionally face the global challenges associated with identification as one of America¿s critical infrastructures. During major events, imparting water quality and health information to a large audience instantaneously will be critical but will not be possible without proper preparation.

This concentrated, interactive two-day seminar will provide attendees with valuable strategies to plan and prepare for communicating during an emergency and techniques to effectively manage communication and media relations efforts when disaster strikes.

Intended Audience: Utility management, Utility public information personnel, and Utility subject matter experts who may find themselves in front of the media

Cost: Members $470.00 (early registration); $570.00 (standard registration)
Nonmembers $630.00 (early registration); $730.00 (standard registration)
Small Systems $350.00 (early registration); $350.00 (standard registration)

Training Course or Workshop Duration: 2 days
