National Drinking Water Symposium

Overview

Communicating value of this irreplaceable national resource will be the theme of the 3rd National Drinking Water Symposium. Regulators will hear how they can play a significant role in terms of specific ratemaking mechanisms and other innovative regulatory techniques. Interactive sessions will include: Integrated Water Resource Management for enhanced source water protection, reliability, and cost efficiencies; How full cost pricing provides sufficient revenue to enable compliant service, ongoing asset management, enhanced security preparedness and emergency response; Lessons learned from the Tsunami disaster in terms of emergency preparedness, response and the value of water service.
