Consumer Confidence Report and Emergency Response Planning

Overview

Community water systems are required to put annual drinking water quality reports into the hands of their customers by July 1 every year. Bring your water quality information from the previous year and receive hands on assistance and tools to complete this report. Participants will learn the importance of emergency response planning to protect the health of their customers. An emergency for a water system is any instance where the system is experiencing a water outrage or the water is unsafe to drink. Are you prepared for these situations?

We will cover:

  • How to use the EPA CCR Writer template, and complete a CCR (CD supplied).
  • The importance of emergency planning.
  • The major components of and how to create an ERP.
