Case Studies for Tennessee

    Title: Tennessee: Department of Environment and Conservation
    Subtitle: Educational Videos Present Groundwater Protection 
    Case Study Type: Protection 
    Description: The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation's Groundwater Management Section created two videos on protecting ground water sources in TN. The videos are titled: "Drops of Water in Oceans of Sand: Ground Water Resources of West Tennessee" and "Hollow Ground: Land of Caverns, Sinkholes, and Springs". The videos present TN geology; contamination threats; and BMPs such as proper water well construction, reducing animal waste, proper pesticide and fertilizer application, and county/city planning. The University of Memphis and Middle Tennessee State University provided assistance.
