Title: Iowa: Department of Natural Resources
Subtitle: Statewide Web Site Will Enhance Assessment Data
    Case Study Type: Assessment
Description: To allow for the timely transfer of assessment-related information, Iowa DNR is developing an interactive Internet site for use by PWSs, consultants, and the public pursuing local source water protection information. The site will allow PWS staff with an identifier and a password to review the state-compiled assessment data and modify it to reflect actual, local conditions. The aim of project is to build on the results of the completed assessments and allow for more accurate, higher quality source water assessments. The site would also encourage public water systems to post their SWP plans so they would also be available to the public, adding incentive for implementation of protection measures.
