- Title: Missouri, Table Rock Lake: RME Management Program, Missouri
Description: This project will serve as a national demonstration project of advanced decentralized treatment technologies for individual and cluster onsite wastewater treatment. Just as important, the project will be used to develop the legal framework necessary to ensure the long-term operation and management of all advanced systems installed under this project and throughout the region in the future. One of the goals of the project will be to use EPA's manual on management of onsite treatment systems and develop specific guidelines for any organization interested in serving as a responsible management entity for the project and any subsequent systems. This will be accomplished by crafting proposed modifications to the current Stone County ordinance to develop an onsite management district. It is anticipated that this public agency will provide the institution necessary to ensure long-term maintenance of advanced treatment systems.
