| Abstract |
This report presents equations used to carry out various conversions between wipe lead loadings and vacuum lead loadings and vacuum concentrations, based on two different vacuum samplers, the Blue Nozzle (used in the HUD National Survey) and the BRM (used in the Baltimore Repair and Maintenance study). These equations were developed for use in the determination of health-based standards of environmental lead in residential settings as required by Section 403 of Title IV TSCA. Various equations were derived to facilitate the development of a proposed set of options for the Section 403 standards, to enable a risk analysis of these options to be conducted, and to provide a means of predicting the post-Section 403 blood-lead levels nationally. |
