| Abstract |
Few chemicals have had as much impact or been the subject of as much controversy in recent decades as pesticides. The booklet is intended to introduce readers to EPA's pesticide programs. Pesticide registration and food safety are discussed first, followed by descriptions of other pesticide programs. The appendices at the back of the booklet contain a glossary of technical terms, a list of materials for further reading and reference, and the addresses and telephone numbers of pesticide program contacts in EPA headquarters and 10 regional offices and in all 50 states. |
