Abstract The directive discusses mining wastes which will not be regulated under Subtitle C of RCRA. Mining waste problems will be addressed by developing a program for regulation under Subtitle D. In the interim, Superfund will continue to address these mining waste problems through the RI/FS and ROD/EDD processes taking into account current Subtitle D requirements as well as options for addressing risks not addressed by Subtitle D requirements.
