Abstract

The report characterizes State Radon programs as of September 1989, before implementation of activities under the State Indoor Radon Grants (SIRE) Program Administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It is based on information collected by EPA Regional offices from the States. It extends and updates a 1987 study of State Radon programs jointly produced by EPA and the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD).
