Abstract |
Subchronic inhalation toxicity was evaluated in groups of 10 male Crl:CD(SD)BR rats exposed to atmospheres containing hexafluoropropylene at mean concentrations (analyzed by gas chromatography) of 0, 10, 50 or 200 ppm for 6 h/d, 5 d/week for 2 weeks. There were no mortalities reported. Clinical observations included no compound-related signs of toxicity. There were no treatment-related hematological or clinical chemical effects observed. Necropsy revealed no compound-related changes in organ weights, however mild nephrosis in the kidneys was observed in high- dose rats. This was absent after 14 days recovery. |
