Abstract | The report sets forth the water pollution control program being followed by the respective States in the Mississippi-Salt Rivers Basin. This program, which is based on data available as of January 1, 1954, was developed after a thorough consideration of the existing and potential uses of the water resources in the basin; the pollution entering the streams and the resulting damages; the benefits which may result from pollution prevention and abatement; and the prevention measures now in effect as well as those which are needed. |
