| Abstract |
The purpose of this project was to establish a model county-wide rural collection system and sanitary landfill. For the most part, four-cubic-yard containers were used to provide collection service for rural and unincorporated areas. A sanitary landfill was established to serve the entire county. The final report describes the planning, design, implementation and cost of the county-operated collection and disposal operation and also provides a detailed account of a major dump closing. |
