Abstract
This document provides the details of emissions data processing done in support of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) joint rulemaking effort under the Clean Air Act (CAA) and the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA) to establish fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions standards for commercial medium-and heavy-duty on-highway vehicles and work trucks beginning with the 2014 model year (MY). This rulemaking effort is hereafter referred to in this technical support document (TSD) as the Heavy Duty Vehicle Greenhouse Gas (HDGHG) rule and consists of three emissions cases.
