Abstract
The Federal Committee on Pest Control was established in 1964 by joint agreement among the Secretaries of Defense, the Interior, Agriculture and Health, Education, and Welfare to coordinate all Federal efforts to control pests and to study the effects of pesticides. Subcommittees were established to give special attention to research pesticide monitoring of the environment, public information, review of Federal pest-control programs, and safety in pesticide marketing and disposal. The study reviews these functions.
