Abstract
The report presents techniques used by researchers to determine the efficacy of insecticides applied to livestock (cattle, horses, sheep and goats, swine and poultry) for the control of the major arthropods that parasitize these animals. Also included are techniques used to determine the effectiveness of insecticides applied to litter, bedding, limited livestock inhabitation areas, and livestock manure. This listing of techniques is not intended to eliminate other procedures to determine efficacy of insecticides for the control of the same arthropod parasites. The compilation of these listed techniques revealed areas in which adequate testing procedures were not available. This report is divided according to the five major commodity groups.
