The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency promulgated National Primary Drinking Water Regulations for lead and copper on June 7, 1991. The document gives monitoring guidance for water systems serving 3,301 to 10,000 persons. It tells how to conduct a materials evaluation to identify lead and copper sampling sites, how and when to collect lead and copper tap water samples, how and when to collect water quality parameter samples, and how and when to collect lead and copper source water samples. It also gives schedules and sample forms and worksheets.
