Abstract
The manual is to be used as a guide by State or Interstate agencies in uniformly performing feasibility studies for projects proposed to demonstrate methods for the abatement of mine drainage pollution as required by Section 14 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act as amended. The required feasibility studies are to aid the Secretary of the Interior in selecting the mine drainage pollution control method or methods suitable for demonstration, and also the optimum watershed where the effectiveness of the project will have the greatest public value or uses.
