Abstract
An analysis is given of the economic impact of environmental regulations on the Integrated Iron and Steel Industry. The most likely impact in terms of capital expenditures will be $6.8 billion for 1975 through 1983. Of this, $3.6 billion will be required for water and $3.2 billion will be required for air pollution control. Annual operating costs should increase less than 2 percent during the next decade. The increase to steel users will be less than 5 percent.
