| Abstract | The Yakima Plating Superfund site has met all groundwater remedial action objectives specified in the Record of Decision (ROD). This Explanation of Significant Difference (ESD) documents a change in the post-remedial groundwater monitoring plan specified in the ROD. During the removal actions, three significant differences from the ROD occurred as a result of a greater degree of subsurface contamination being discovered than indicated in the RI. These were: (1) a higher excavated soil volume, (2) building demolition, and (3) the absence of institutional controls. |
