Nutrient Control Workshop for Efficient Wastewater TreatmentOverview NOTE: THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE USEPA Region 4’s Office of Municipal and Industrial Permitting is planning a free, three-day informational workshop on the needs of wastewater treatment facilities when addressing control of nutrients in their permitted wastewater discharges. The workshop will feature speakers from local, state, and federal government and industry on topics ranging from implementation and optimization of technologies for nutrient control in wastewater to the environmental issues related to nutrient pollution and the regulatory framework for addressing nutrients in NPDES permits. Several industry exhibitors also will be on hand. There will be ample time during each session for audience members to pose questions to the panel of speakers. Intended Audience: Wastewater treatment plant operators and state NPDES permitting staff (especially those in the Southeast) are invited to register for this free workshop.
