Abstract

Toxicological data in the published literature on Chloroethane (CE) will be assimilated, reviewed, and integated into a Toxicological Review of CE (assessment document), which seeks to characterize the key cancer, and non cancer health effect hazards from environmental exposures. As appropriate, cancer weight-of-evidence and potency and noncancer RfC and RfD's will be recommended. The detailed information from the toxicological review document will be summarized in an IRIS file, and following Agency consensus review, will be posted on EPA's IRIS system.

Impact/Purpose

This review analyzes various chloroethane toxicological data from different sources including the published Peer-reviewed literature and data submitted under TSCA and to the IRIS desk. A toxicological review document is prepared which characterizes the key health hazards and develops, as appropriate, cancer and non cancer health hazard characterizations.
