Workshop in Support of the Secondary National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Nitrogen (NOx) and Sulfur Oxides (SOx)

On March 4-6, 2014, EPA will hold a kickoff workshop titled, Workshop in Support of the Review of the Secondary National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Oxides of Nitrogen and Sulfur. This kickoff workshop will initiate the scientific review of the secondary (ecological) criteria of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for oxides of nitrogen and oxides of sulfur. In workshop discussions, scientific experts will highlight significant new and emerging policy-relevant research on oxides of nitrogen and sulfur and make recommendations to the Agency regarding the design and scope of this review. This workshop will inform the future development of the Integrated Science Assessment (ISA) for oxides of nitrogen and sulfur (Secondary-Ecological Criteria).
